Literature Text

Some days, they
Make me shiver,
Like i'm watching sea foam crash against the rocks,
On a cool October morning.
(right before you died)

Others make me smile,
Like the first flake of snow,
Landing on my nose,
On a dull January afternoon.
(like the first time you kissed me)

Sometimes, it's a distant sigh,
Reminding me, of
wind whistling by,
carrying me in September sun.
(like the days that lazily passed us by)

But mostly,
They make me look to the sky,
And remember, we're all born to die.

(But that doesn't mean I don't have a whole lot of living left to do yet)
(you just left us too soon)

Wow. This is a magnificent poem about life and memories. I could feel everything you described in this poem. The imagery is enough to help you feel, but not so much that it confines the imagination. You delivered the message well.
