That girl.She's the girl no one quite understands,
She's a contradiction,
With her little obsessions, and fears.
With her jet black hair and blazer,
Her over sized journal, and bitter perfume,

She never sits still,
Fidgets and plays,
While her eyes stay,
Fixed forward.

She hates being alone,
And hates large crowds of people,
And will only, ever,
Eat with a spoon,

Her hair's a mess,
Yet sweeping and sophisticated,
With a cool,
None could match,

Her smart blazer,
Is falling in two.
Stitches here and there,
And pockets falling through.

An A4 dark blue journal,
Follows her everyday,
with single words on pages,
In
Black UmbrellasLet the sky do the crying;
Because I no longer have tears
As the air rumbles above.

Multiple umbrellas blossoming
Like mournful black flowers.

I don't care for a shelter
From this rolling storm;
I crave complete saturation,
The downpour cleansing--
At the same time dousing
The last flicker of our fire.

The clouds are weeping;
A good omen for a wedding
But I am no bride in white…

I can still hear bells ringing
As I walk into the traffic.
Drowning In BetrayalFaith faded with the storm
That rocked the boat where
Both of us floating
On the ocean of trust

Wondering why you let go
Of my hand when the boat
Rocked over churning waves
When the skies fade to black

Almost fell from my grasp
Over the sides, you were watching
Like a gargoyle, you glared
With a smile that cuts

One by one you lifted
My fingers that was holding
The waves drowned my screams
You don't bother to listen

The last finger cut loose
Frozen, my eyes on you
You smiled as I fell...

It was all too much
Drowning in my tears
Where my heart sank
How could you
Let me drown
Let me fall
From grace we had
All these year
EndlesslyYES,
You make me weak.
But you'll never know,
The only thing i'll never show.

When you're near,
I can't see clearly.
I would do anything for you,
Except tell you how I feel.

What can I give you?
...Anything.
Just don't ask me to give you up,
I can't leave you.

My minds on loop,
Keeps skipping back to you.
My heart beats,
Even when it stops you can count on me.

Your shadow in the light,
and the night.
Endlessly...
Never Am IA light has left this world today,
a spirit bold and bright.
A sorrow trapped within a shell,
flies free into the night.

A shooting star, a soaring ray,
now fills the twilit sky.
A promise kept within our souls,
the dream called NeverAmI.
ComposedI never knew blue could be so warm.

A moth to a flame -
no, that's too cliché
A tranquilizer gun to the heart
ready, aim -

Fire of the bluest kind
Warm with laughter, but still

You burned me.

Please, never say my name again.
I'm still trying to get your eyes out of my head
And I can still hear your words as if they're ringing out right now.

Don't say my name.
I'm SICK of playing games.

I hope you know that I miss you
And I hope you know I don't want to

But secretly, I hope you miss me, too.

You taught me many things in the few months that I knew you
about life, about love, about desires
But the most important thing I le
butterfly notationsalone, we sit, on our own,
connected by meaningless words,
and flimsy pieces of paper,
flying limply  in the wind,
only to fall, feet from where,
they meant to land,

pieces of pure white paper,
blemished with ugly words,
carried on violent winds,
to waiting, bloody hands,

causing devotion to fail,
and pens to be wielded like swords,
marking those delicate papers,
with cuts and inky bruises,

and like butterfly wings,
they float, ripped and torn,
on the wind now,
so heavy and forlorn.
ScarlettShe's the girl no one quite understands,
She's a mistake waiting to happen,
With her clumsy falls, and bitter feuds.
With her Scarlet hair and leather jacket,
Her chewed up nails and flakey mascara

She's quiet, sitting at the back,
Rarely speaking,
Yet when she does,
Her voice is loud and powerful,

She's always covered in bruises,
From bangs and scrapes,
And never, ever
Leaves without a plaster,

Her hair's always up,
Falling down at the sides,
And covering her,
Emerald green eyes,

Her leather jacket,
Is beaten and worn.
Burns here and there,
with it's zipper fallen off.

Her nails have layer upon layer,
of varnish, red,
Lentil.I miss you when I read,
Through everything we used to know;
And what we used to do.
I miss you every time I sit down to write;
Another note no one sees,
I miss you when I realise,
I don't know why I hated you.
I miss you when I figure out,
I left it too late you get you back,
I miss you,
Your soft hugs,
The delicate marks under your eyes;
That matched mine perfectly,
I'd help wipe away at lunch,
I miss you when I notice,
That my mask, is back.
I miss you when I see the ribbon,
I should've snapped.

I miss you when I realise,
I don't miss you at all.

[There's another lie]
Like my handwriting on your wall.
Stalker in the NightLove in the night
is a razor's edge
which cuts through my mind
beneath in the influence of the moon's
watching eye,
that goddess of love craving affection.

It drives my thoughts
in senseless need
seeking obsession
as doubts like the deception
of shadows on the wall
begin taunting undulations.

Your face blazing before me
and I burn with a fire that keeps me warm
and yet I walk the fine line
on the edge of darkness
and I wonder if I can hear
the laughter of other women
in your sphere.

And from somewhere
in the unknown
a stalker of the night,
I wish I could watch
unrevealed your every
subtle move to catch
BrokenShe never fought
Never quarreled
Never argued
Held her tongue
Kept her mouth shut
Spoke not a word
Until that day
Her opinion was supposedly welcomed
Supposedly allowed
Supposedly needed
Yet when given she was shot down
By her own parents
Her dear mother
"You're not seeing clearly!"
"You don't understand!"
"You're naïve, a child!"
"You're being used!"
"I'm only looking out for you, can't you see?"
But she's in college
Living with another family
Caring for another family
Growing up
She's suffocating
She can't speak her mind
Coming home is killing her
Staying away is suicide
She keeps silent
Speaks with her eyes
I Hope You FallWhen you've played your last card
When you've done your last trick

I hope they see through the bluff
I hope they see you freeze on stage

When you're left with no other option
When you're torn between two choices

I hope you realize how it all hurts
I hope you understand the consequence

After the world stops revolving around you
After the days endlessly fuse with nights

I hope some truth enlightens you
I hope that you see one last star

After you've failed to keep your promise
After you've failed to realize I hate you

I hope you fall
Oh, do I hope you fall
What We Never HadExposing your shoulder
Over and over
In your clichéd blue.
You do not adjust
The collar of your jumper.

I want to run my tongue along
The fine blonde hairs
On your back
Like those on the peach
Or the nectarine,
Leaving the rest neglected.

The imperfections of your skin
Remind me of Greek vases
Made to specifications,
Including every imperfection
As only their deities
Could craft such beauty.

I do not compare
The fairness of your complexion
To the fineries of porcelain,
Instead I find a likeness
With broken china,
Perhaps what's left
When gods craft vases.

I sit behind you in lectures
Hoping you'd notice.

Your anger chills my blood

you want to make me hurt
I want to lift you up
You only shove me in dirt

Why can't you hold me now
Instead you'd rather hit
Why won't you kiss me now
Why make me feel like shit

All this time that we've shared
I've been faithful to you
How can I pretend you care
When you've been so untrue

I can
No Rainbow Without YouIt is clear
that you are the biggest and most beautiful star I have ever seen,
but I cannot orbitate you forever.
Your gravity is killing me.
If I cannot touch your surface,
it is better for me to let go from your gravitational chains
and move on towards the emptiness ahead.
Maybe I will find a better star.
Maybe not.
I could never forget you,
even if I never looked back
because your light gave life to my surface,
and that made me special,
different from any planet around.
And it makes me so sad to know
that this life might end if I don't come back,
but I am too tired of going round and round
for so long.

Constellation Eyes,It's been years since I curled up
In your far too big sweatshirt;
Bare feet cold against the metal chair,
As we sat on the deck, waiting for the sun
to drop.

We swilred our glasses, as the sky turned,
To the red stains on my fingertips,
From the cabernet sauvignon cork,
As you laughed and explained
The meaning behind your protagonist,

My hair fell over one shoulder
As your hand stroked my cheek,  
I smiled and leaned into
The kiss I had been awaiting all evening,

The light began to dwindle,
And candles flickered,

We slept beneath the stars that night,

Bitter Sweet Lullabies
She had hair like black ink,
Rolling down her sordid cheeks;

Her eyes were fresh tarmac,
Holding me in her troubled gaze,
As she whispered, wistful lullabies,
To our forgotten daughter;
With a smile so Bittersweet
It left a sour taste on my lips.

She walked on fallen trees,
On their mossy shrouds,
Waiting for me to beg her home.

But she lost herself to the moonlight,
Lost herself, and lost me.

Ciara, that was her name...
She coveted shadows, and pennies,
And thoughtful smiles in empty eyes.
She stalked my dreams, and
EvaI guess, I fell for an idea,
A beautiful, longing, born;
From your lost mind.
She was foolish and sweet,
Believed in fantasy,
~ Lived in it.

She had a sea of curls,
That glinted in sunlight,
Forming crests,
That would break
against her collar bones,

Her skin was satin,
Beneath my fingertips,
And rose blush would
Cover her cheeks,
Bringing a beautiful heat,
To flushed skin.

But her eyes drew me in,
Changing with her mood,
And with mine,
But I remember them being green,
Lost in mine, as we changed
The world around us;
like it was our creation.

She's the girl everyone wants to know,
She's a waterfall of laughter,
[With a crash, you'll hit the rocks,]
With her purple hair and gravitational pull,
Her warm open smile [and fakery,]

She knows your name,
And is always surrounded by people,
Desperate to know,
The [mysteriously] loveable girl,

She's always laughing,
Like crystal clear water,
[Hitting rock, after rock,
After rock. ]

Her hair falls like waves,
Framing her face,
Making her golden eyes,
Glint and glitter,

Her gravitational pull's,
Drawing you in,
So there's no where you can run,
[Only fall,]

Her open smile,
So bright and breezy,
Is desperate to plunge
Into the icy pool [of her lies,]

Her fakery is see through,
Just look into her eyes,
And you'll see, [there's no],
Love there for you and me,

She's Indigo, A mask waiting to fall,
To reveal a scared little girl.

That girl, she is,
She's a waterfall of tears.

I adore the layout of this, it is really effective. Perfect contrast between what she shows to the world and the truth that dwells within. I am certain everyone knows someone as this... haha.
